Research Question
How do we ask a research question?
Just ask!
There’s probably a gnawing question in your sub-conscious. Bring it to your conscious thinking. Embrace the thought. Then ask the question :)
In quantitative research, the question is followed with what we hypothesize we will find in our study. We then embark on testing this hypothesis.

Add Value
The thing to remember about embarking on a research topic is that it needs to add value i.e., it needs to extend the field of investigation.
No point hypothesizing that electricity will light up a light bulb. It’s already been done :)
Sometimes, people might do what has already been done i.e. replicating a study in a different context.
For example, studies already exist on cyber-bullying among school kids in the United States. But little may have been researched in New Zealand. So if you do such a study, you would be adding value to the field.
